Shell House

Summary

Some parts of California are so sunny and picturesque that it would almost be a sin to disturb the context with any man made object. The Shell House, however, was never going to blend in and shy away. The brief for this high end home was to respect the context while striking a pose. Built predominantly out of concrete the idea was to create a sculptural piece of architecture among the rocky mountainsides.
