Lost and Found!

Chief Designer’s clutch pencil lost and found!

Taras Wolf’s special Faber Castellclutch pencil has been missing for almost a year until it was rediscovered recently. Big relief! One strict office rule we have here is that no one except for Taras is to ever touch this sacred pencil. This artifact is 20 years old and connects Taras back to the days when he was a student.

Every Wolf-designed house starts with the stroke of a pencil, and this pencil has been a vital instrument for almost all of Taras’ design work since his student days up to the present. It was an expensive brand to buy in those days, specially made of aluminium and exhibiting a distinct colour. The idea is that this light-weight material will allow for longer periods of designing without the hand getting tired from the weight of the pencil.

When it was lost Taras searched relentlessly on the internet trying to find a replacement. While clutch pencils are still common, this aqua aluminium one from Faber Castell seems to be a relic. Simply irreplaceable!

So let us all hope that Taras takes better care of it from now on so that the embodied energy and experiences stored within this sacred pencil can stay at Wolf Architects to give us that positive effect on all future designs, designs that are destined to start with the stroke of a very special pencil.
