At Wolf Architects, we have always believed that the mind of a designer is universal. Whether mapping out a high end residential masterpiece or composing a melody, the creative process shares the same fundamental DNA. Today, we are thrilled to announce a bold new extension of that philosophy: the launch of our brand new YouTube channel, Music by Wolf Architects.
We are kicking off this month with the release of several highly polished instrumental tracks. This is not just generic background music; it is the culmination of a creative journey that spans over three decades, bridging vintage 1980s technology with the cutting edge digital tools of today.
Trapped in the Floppy Disk Era
To understand how this music was made, we have to rewind to the late 1980s. Long before the award winning buildings and luxury homes, our founder and artistic director, Taras Wolf, was a young creative obsessed with the limitless possibilities of electronic music.
His instrument of choice was the Yamaha SY77, a revolutionary synthesiser for its time. It was a complete workstation, boasting a built in sequencer and drum machines that allowed a single person to compose, layer, and arrange full tracks. Taras spent countless late nights crafting original instrumental tunes, pushing the technology as far as it could go.
However, without the resources or connections to hire professional studio musicians to fully realise these compositions, the tracks remained as intricate demo tapes. Unable to take them any further, these original instrumental tracks sat frozen in time, trapped on floppy disks for many years.
AI as the Super Synthesiser
Fast forward to today. The rapid advancement of Artificial Intelligence has unlocked a new era of creative potential. To Taras, AI is not a replacement for human creativity; rather, he regards it as the ultimate super synthesiser.
Using AI, those dusty, floppy disk bound tracks from the 80s have been completely revived and refreshed. We make absolutely no excuses for using AI to bring these compositions to life. In fact, we are incredibly proud of these songs because they authentically maintain the heart, soul, and mathematical essence of Taras’s original compositions.
Admittedly, we cannot ignore the impact of modern technology, so these songs do sound a little different from those early 1980s demos, but in a way that we feel is vastly superior. We liken it to hearing exactly how these songs should have sounded had we been able to hire top tier professional musicians to complete the demo tracks decades ago. The AI has stepped in as the perfect digital contractor, executing the original design flawlessly.
Visualising the Dream
For this initial launch, we have deliberately chosen to release only instrumental tracks. They are perfectly designed to function as inspiring background music for anyone hard at work in an office, study, or creative studio.
But there is a visual component that elevates this project into something truly unique. Accompanying each tune on the channel is stunning, high definition footage of architectural projects designed by Wolf Architects. The concept is simple: put the video on your screen, let the music play, and allow the synergy of beautiful spatial design and sweeping melodies to act as an elegant screensaver. It is designed to gently inspire listeners and viewers to manifest their own visions of a dream home.

While we are beginning our journey with these atmospheric instrumentals, this is only the start. Looking ahead, we will be releasing more music across a wide variety of categories and genres. You can expect everything from upbeat dance tracks and heartfelt love ballads to country music. All of these future releases will continue to be original compositions assisted by AI. However, there is one crucial element that will always remain purely human: the words. Every single lyric in our upcoming vocal tracks is originally written by Taras Wolf, completely without the help of AI.
