A good time to renovate but beware of energy rating requirements!

With property prices continuing to increase, we’ve noticed a surge in renovations. One thing to be aware of are the new building laws regarding energy ratings. If your renovation and extension is significant you may be required to bring the whole house up to a 5 star energy rating in order to gain permits. New laws next year will increase the rating requirements to 6 stars.
