Framing the architect’s view!

Framing the architect’s view!

Multi-functionality is a contemporary trend, but multi-functional elements have always been a big part in architecture since antiquity. The simple window not only facilitates light penetration and passive ventilation, it also frames the living World that surround us. At Wolf Architects, years of experience tell us that views matter! Every window is an eye and all it beholds is important.

If your location doesn’t have a seaside, city, or mountain view, decisions can still be made upon the best treetop or rooftop view, or even maybe just the sky! If we can’t borrow a landscape to frame the eye, we may even invent something to be seen from within. The power of a frame can change a space quite dramatically.

One most challenging thing about capturing a view is how to locate the window on drawings before being able to physically see what you think you will see. This is an especially tricky design problem in a multi-level project. Half a metre in the wrong direction can potentially lose the impact of the view you were hoping to achieve. But with the eye of the Wolf, we can frame your view.
