East Meets West.

Lucky Chinese house

Collectively the WOLF team has produced projects across most of the seven continents, but it is our Asian connection that gives a unique design edge to our work in Australia. The east meets west design influence can be seen in many of our residential developments, where our clients have approached us and expressed a desire for it.

As the Australian population grows ever more multicultural, the desire for homes that meet the needs of occupants with more than one cultural background increases. With our Asian influenced homes we follow the guidelines of Feng Shui to create a harmonious environment full of positive energy. We have created homes catering to multi-generational living, with flexible spaces that can be adapted as the owner’s needs change. In some of our bespoke homes we have been asked to design specialised spaces such as a wet kitchen or prayer room. Our challenge, as architects, is to make sure that these spaces are adaptable for the future to cater to a broader market base.

In providing an all in one design solution, we also create beautiful Asian inspired landscape designs. Borrowing from traditional Chinese and Japanese concepts we create gardens that are both delightful to look at and also a harmonious sanctuary for the owner to relax in. The connection between indoor and outdoors is strong in Asian cultures. For some of our clients we have designed indoor courtyards, water features and green walls to connect their home to nature.

Every client that calls on WOLF Architects to design their home has different needs, tastes, and backgrounds. Spending time getting to know our clients and understanding where they come from is what sets us apart from other architects.
